Why does the Bible say about pride
Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for god enabling and sustaining us.Our faithful father, as he sanctifies our hearts, disciplines us as any good father would.The sin of pride is an excessive preoccupation with self and one's own importance, achievements, status, or possessions.Proverbs 16:5a asserts, everyone proud in.Proverbs 16:5 every one that is proud…is an abomination to lord.
But with the lowly is wisdom.Pride is a sin because it takes the glory that belongs to god and takes it for itself.It blinds us to our faults;Let us not see ourselves as wise in our own eyes but let us become humble and willing to learn from god and others!Love is not proud, the bible says.
God's word assures us pride is the root of the rubble in our lives.He will bring you dishonor, which is the last thing a prideful person wants.We are to walk as christlike through this world acting as jesus did when he was on this earth as the only perfect man!Pride is delusional, spiteful, and bitter.In your life, pride will cause your heart to harden toward god.
The most we are is evidence of the amazing creative power of god.This verse of scripture clearly condemns undue pride in general and arrogance, which is a form of pride, in particular, along with evil conduct and perverse (i.e., corrupt or wicked) speech.Good pride is recognizing that apart from god, you can do nothing ( john 15:5 ), and, therefore, giving god the glory for the things you accomplish.Proverbs 11:2 (niv) pride brings opposition from god.Instead, we should try to value others above yourselves.
